Our MS Degrees in Exposure Science and Occupational Hygiene are supported by the Northwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety (NWCOHS).


The NWCOHS is a multidisciplinary training program, funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), located at the University of Washington Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). The NWCOHS offers a variety of advanced degree programs, dedicated to training professionals to prevent work-related injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.

Nationally Recognized Faculty


Students pursuing MS degrees in Exposure Science and Occupational Hygiene have the unique opportunity to be mentored by nationally recognized experts in the field of occupational health and safety.


Student Funding


As one of the 18 NIOSH-funded Education and Research Centers in the United States, accepted applicants are eligible for NWCOHS traineeships which pay tuition, fees, and stipends.


Internship & Practicum Opportunities


All MS students will complete an internship or research practicum, where they will apply their classroom knowledge, and gain real-world experience and connections.
